Abstract
And what I want to give just a few minutes attention to now was what are we aiming toward? What is the evidence that spiritual formation is taking place? I suppose if we were meeting 30 years ago, we'd be asking you differently, what is maturity look like? Maybe our language is changing a bit. And I do think that perhaps can serve wonderful purposes, but I don't think spiritual direction is a very new idea. Nobody does. It's been around for a long time, obviously, and the idea of spiritual formation is hardly a new idea. It's growing up into Christ to to spin off a little bit about what John said earlier, that the sanctification recapitulates justification is that the way you put it recapitulates salvation
