Description

Do you love me? Do you love me? Jesus says it to the cowboy, the college graduate. Men, women, children. Do you love me? There's only one condition for serving Jesus, and that's love. Jesus doesn't ask anything else. We don't have to be educated, we don't have to be old, we don't have to be young. Thank God, when you get to my age, you're glad for that too. All we have to do is love Jesus. That's the only question Jesus asked Peter after he had really blown it, after he had wept bitterly for denying his best friend Jesus. Jesus doesn't scold him, doesn't make him feel like a worm, like the world would. He just says, Peter, do you love me? Do you love me? And I wish you'd do what I do in every Bible. Every time I get a new Bible, I cross out Peter and put in Kari. I personalize the 21st chapter in John. Do you love me? If you love me, that's the only requirement I have for you to go and feed my lambs, feed my sheep. It's an inclusive party, to use Tony's language. It's not an exclusive party. It's not limited to men, it's not limited to the rich, it's not limited to Americans, it's not limited to the educated.
