I'm going to ask you to turn to Numbers. Chapter 13 and we're going to be starting with verse 17. In this chapter, Israel has been oppressed. Israel has seen the mighty work of God delivering her from bondage, under the blood and through the sea. Israel has been in the wilderness, has been thirsty and known God to provide her drink, has been hungry and has known God to provide her meat in the wilderness. And then the time comes to go and look at the land, at the future which God has promised. And this is the story of twelve men, and they're going to spy the land.
