More Than a Hobby
Jesus Christ does not want to be a hobby for you. Basically, what he means is that every day you acknowledge that God is the one who has the right to run your life and that you do not have rights of your own any longer relative to Him, that you gave those up, you give him up, and instead you deny yourself. Now, when it when it talks about denying yourself, it doesn't mean that you shouldn't take care of yourself. It doesn't mean that you shouldn't nurture yourself. What it means is that if you want to fail, then you just you spend your time being preoccupied with how well you're doing and you're gonna be a failure.
