Description
In our last study, we examined two wonderful names concerning our Lord Jesus Christ. We discovered in the verse-in verse 3 of this first chapter of Romans, that we read concerning His Son, Jesus. Now we're going to obs-es-examine the next two names that we have in this title, for the entire first part of the verse reads, "Concerning His Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord." As we observed at our last time together, "His Son" showing our Lord's relationship to the Father. "Jesus" showing our Lord's relationship to the world. Now, the word "Christ" shows His relationship to Israel. For, the word "Christ" is from the Greek word "Christas", which comes from a verb which means "to anoint", especially to anoint with oil.
