Description
Now the scripture says in the 17th verse of Revelation chapter three concerning the church at Laodicea, "Because thou sayest I am rich and increased with goods and have need of nothing, and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked." Oh what a description for a church. He says you're wretched. And I'm glad, my friend, that I did not write the Book of Revelation, because I'm sure that I would never be able to put down in language this strong the things that I felt in my own heart. But Jesus Christ does. This one who is the Christ of love, this one who is the Christ of mercy, and of understanding, and sympathy, and pity, and patience, and long suffering is the very Christ who levels His finger at the Laodicean church, and He said, you're wretched as a church.
