Description
Now, this morning, before we begin our study with which we left off yesterday morning, we want to answer a question which keeps on coming up because of the anxieties of men and women relative to their own children. And the question is, "are those who die in infancy lost forever?" Now, as far as I'm concerned personally this morning, there is not a single line of Bible to indicate that they are lost. Jesus, you remember said in Matthew 19:14, "Suffer the little children and forbid them not to come unto me for of such is the kingdom of heaven." Now I'm reading, of course, in the revised version of Matthew 19:14. It is true that infants are born into this world Members of a fallen human race under the condemnation of God, and that Adam's sin is imputed to all of his descendants. But the sins, my friend, of the whole human race were atoned for by the death of Jesus Christ on the cross. as you have it in 1 Timothy 2:6, As you have it in John 1:29, and as you have it in 1 John 2:2 and this most assuredly includes also the little infants and children.
