Abstract

The article discusses the principles of mutuality based on the First Letter of Paul to the Corinthians, chapter 7, which includes fidelity in marriage, loss of a spouse through death, and responsibility when an unbelieving spouse leaves. The author claims that the text is a neglected treatise on gender and hopes that the article will start a series of dialogue to reframe the discussion on the matter.
