Abstract
The dominant ideas in Luke 's theology include God sovereignly carries out in history his salvation plan. Jesus Christ is the agent and the Holy Spirit is the instrument of that plan, and the disciples continue Jesus work in the power of the Spirit The influence of this theology may he observed, for example,m the accounts of Jesus' temptation (Lk 4 9-/1) and his post-resurrection appearance to the disciples (Luke 24 33-36), and especially of his sermon m Nazareth (Luke 4 16-30)
