Abstract

Abstract: Christianity in Latin America followed the arrival of Christopher Columbus to the New World in 1492. The Catholic Church, with the proclamation of the name of Christ, prepared the soil for the arrival and establishment of Protestantism during the first decades of the 19th century throughout the 20th century. The Evangelical church has carried out its educational ministry by using different strategies, but there is still much work need based on a contextualized educational philoso- phy and curriculum for the spiritual formation of believers and the development of church leaders.
