Abstract
Biola University dedicated a campus hall to Dr. Paul Rood (1889-1956), the university's third president, in honor of his incredible life of Christian service. Many attended the event including several of Rood's children. Rood was president of Biola from 1935-1938. During this time he helped organize the International Child Evangelism Fellowship, the inauguration of the Torrey Memorial Bible Conference in 1936 and his role in helping Biola receive collegiate accreditation allowing the school to grant bachelor's degrees in theology, sacred music and Christian education. Dignitaries: T.W. Wilson, Woodrow Rood, Don Rood, President Cook and a record message from Billy Graham.
