Abstract

Christian Spirituality and Soul Care Lecture Series I really appreciate being able to come and talk about trust, the ability to depend on God. It's a subject that's near and dear to my heart, and, um, I love to share what God has shown me in this whole area, being able to trust Him. When I think about the ability to trust, the person in the Bible that I most often think of is Abraham. That's why it is said, "Abraham was declared fit before God by trusting God to set him right." But it's not just Abraham; it's also us! The same thing gets said about us when we embrace and believe the One who brought Jesus to life when the conditions were equally hopeless. The sacrificed Jesus made us fit for God, set us right with God." Do you really believe that we are and we have the ability to trust to the same degree that Abraham had? I believe so. It says so here. It says it's the same with us. But we need to be able to embrace and believe.
