Worship Before Missions

But I would like to read a passage from Mark chapter 5, and the 57th Psalm. I might not get to everything that I want to say today. I don't know if pastors ever get to everything they want to say, but I'd sort of like to touch upon a few things, and I might have a chance to even finish them up tomorrow morning at the morning session. But I just like to take some time to encourage you as you consider God's plan for your life and your destiny with your calling and God's purpose for you. I was touched by something that I read, and I think this was an excerpt from Piper's book. You probably read it, but let me just lead in with this. "Missions is not the ultimate goal of the church. Worship is. Missions exist because worship doesn't. Worship, therefore, is the fuel and goal in missions. When the flame of worship burns with the heat of God's true worth, the light of missions will shine to the most remote people on the Earth, where passion for God is weak, zeal for missions will be weak."
