Description
...And that image out of 2 Corinthians has this parade, this processional, and it reminds us that the victory is already won. In the Roman context, you only had a processional after the victory was won, and the victory is already won. Jesus has died and defeated sin on the cross, but the victory is not yet completed because the procession is not yet finished. And so there are people in the world that don't yet know that Jesus has already won. And we are in that procession to declare that fact. And until the procession is over, we go into the world to announce Jesus as victor. That's why the song would go something like this. It says, Thine is the glory risen, conquering sun thou or death has conquered thou war, death has won.
