I want to speak this morning about one of the most significant moments in all our human history, and there is such a contrast between the circumstances and the significance that it always takes us a long time to come to terms with what is actually going on. It took the disciples themselves a long time to understand exactly what was going on in their midst, because what we need to think about as one of the more curious aspects about countries in which the gospel has gone to is a number of them in which the notion of government is linked with service.
