Description
The passage that I've been reflecting on since Monday, in the Book of Romans, as you may recall, Paul said, "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." Romans, chapter eight. And I want to touch on a few key points again tonight, where he says, "You've not received the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you have received the spirit of adoption, whereby we cry Abba, Father. The Spirit Himself bearing witness with our spirit that we are the children of God, and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus Christ, if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together." We discussed the importance of having a relationship in Christ, which is a life empowered by the Holy Spirit, a life connected to Christ that can never be severed or separated. We are secure in our relationship to Christ because of God's wonderful love. We discussed the life of the believer whose mind has become the mind of Christ, whose desires have merged with the will of God. He is one who is Spirit-filled, Christ-controlled, and God-focused. We discussed the power and presence of the Holy Spirit in-and His influence on the life of the believer.
