Abstract

The theology of Matthew is strongly Christological, with emphases as well on Jesus' relationship to the law of Moses and the character of the true people of God Matthew pays particular attention to the history of Jesus as it relates to the Jews For Matthew the people of God is not now defined by nationality, but rather by obedience to Jesus Christ, who is the fulfillment of Israel and of the law of Moses
