Abstract
The Health Service Psychology Education Collaborative’s (HSPEC) recent Blueprint for Health Service Psychology Education and Training (Blueprint) is an important step forward for the field of professional psychology. This response will highlight the various strengths of the Blueprint, which include recommendations and action steps that seek to unify the field and position it firmly within the changing health care landscape. Concerns are also noted, including the possible unintended consequences of homogenization and possible limitations for service delivery. Ultimately, the Blueprint takes the field forward at a time when professional psychology must change and adapt
