Description

We read in the Bible an expression which says to be with Christ. That's an interesting statement, isn't it? Because the world thought they had got rid of him. The world thought that when they crucified him and tore him so badly and even broke his heart with the spearhead and then wound him in grave clothes and put him away that that was the end of him. And then, of course, the story went abroad that somebody had stolen his body away. And then others started the story that it was his spirit that rose and not his body at all. Well, of course, all of these are utterly false because the Lord himself tells us that he brought his body out of the grave. It was his body that the people saw. And the women held him by the feet and he ate the broiled fish and the honeycomb. And he said to Mary, touch me not. You see, all the proofs are that it was his body that came out of the grave. And so when he went up at Bethany, the disciples saw him go up and it says that he lifted up his hands and blessed them there at Bethany. Well, in referring to this, he said back in John 14, verse three if I go away and he did so, I will come again and receive you unto myself. What an interesting statement. Now, if you're really saved, that brings joy to the heart.
